Niantic has launched a new campaign called Operation Polaris, running from December 16th, 2025 to February 5th, 2026. This event challenges players to complete Daily Bounties and rewards them with a tiered medal that increases in rank after each of the three Assignments. If you want to earn the Gold tier, you will need to stay consistent and complete an average of three Daily Bounties per day.

How Operation Polaris Works
Operation Polaris is divided into three Assignments, each with the same structure of Daily Bounties to complete:
Complete 13 Daily Bounties
Complete 26 Daily Bounties
Complete 39 Daily Bounties
Complete 52 Daily Bounties
Completing all four steps in one Assignment levels up your badge from Bronze to Silver, then to Gold after the third Assignment. The entire challenge spans 52 days, but since completing 52 Daily Bounties takes 13 days if you do not skip any, the minimum time to reach Gold is 39 days.

Planning Your Daily Bounties
To stay on track, you need to complete about three Daily Bounties every day. Here are some practical tips to help you manage this:
Set a daily routine: Dedicate specific times each day to complete your bounties. Consistency helps avoid last-minute rushes.
Prioritize easier bounties first: Some bounties may require less time or effort. Completing those early can build momentum.
Use downtime wisely: If you have breaks during your day, use that time to complete quick bounties.
Track your progress: Keep a simple checklist or use the in-game tracker to monitor how many bounties you’ve completed.
See you out there, Agents!
