IFS returns to the Region! Join us May 3rd for Ingress First Saturday in Crown Point, Indiana!
Historic Crown Point, Indiana
Some will tell you it was made of soap, but it was made of wood. On First Saturday, May 3rd ENL and RES Agents will meet for IngressFS where John Dillinger made his daring escape.
Not just famous for the whittling antics of bank robbers, The “Hub of Lake County” is home to the historic Lake County Courthouse. Built in 1878, The “Grand Old Lady” later became known as the "Marriage Mill" since Crown Point required no waiting period for marriage licenses. The Courthouse remained a popular place to elope well into the 20th century. Many notable people, including Rudolph Valentino and Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali), were married there.
A few good antique shops, a couple of breweries, and a meadery. Crown Point today thrives from its historic roots. We hope that Agents new and old will join us in grabbing the County Seat by the XM!
